Tour Overview

Journey beyond the "happiest nation" headlines to experience Bhutan's authentic heritage — sacred monasteries, traditional crafts, local markets, and family homestays guided by passionate local experts.

Over five transformative days, you'll travel through Bhutan's three most celebrated valleys: Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha. Witness ancient fortresses perched above rushing rivers, hike to a monastery clinging impossibly to a cliffside, and immerse yourself in daily Bhutanese life. Your licensed Arise Bhutan guide brings centuries of history and culture to life, ensuring you leave not just having seen Bhutan, but having truly understood it.

Highlights

  • Hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang) — 900m above the valley floor
  • Punakha Dzong at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers
  • Buddha Dordenma — 169-foot gilded bronze statue with panoramic city views
  • Dochu La pass with 108 chortens and 360° Himalayan panorama
  • Chimi Lhakhang — the whimsical Temple of the Divine Madman
  • Traditional hot stone bath (dotsho) with herbal infusions
  • Thimphu National Memorial Chorten and weekend craft bazaar
